Revethi & Ragini
All I gotta say is
I just wanna have some fun
And I'll do it until I'm done
I'm telling you
I'm just a crazy kind of girl
I'll tell it to the world
I've just begun having my fun
Inside me there's something I found
I wanna shop around
I've just begun
Don't wanna settle down
As the saying goes “Laugh and the whole world laughs with you.” It’s a proven fact that we are roughly 30 times more likely to laugh when we’re in a social setting than when we’re alone (not many people can laugh at their own jokes…).
We’ve all been in a situation where one of us gets a fit of the giggles and before long everyone else is joining in; it’s as contagious as a yawn, and a lot more fun.
Reasons to laugh
15 minutes of laughter equals the benefit of 2 hours sleep.
On average we laugh 17 times a day.
One good belly laugh burns off three and a half calories.
It’s been medically proven that laughter is an effective painkiller.
Laughter helps prevent heart disease.
Laughing lowers levels of stress hormones and strengthens the immune system.
Laughter has positive effects on all the major body systems – respiratory, circulatory and cardiac.
The two-year laughathon
One of the most famous cases of contagious laughter occurred in Tanganyika, East Africa in 1962. What began as an isolated fit of laughter in a group of schoolgirls rapidly rose to epidemic, hysterical proportions; it spread to the local community and didn’t die out for another two years.
It would be interesting to know what the schoolgirls in Tanganyika were laughing at to start such large scale hysteria but it doesn’t really matter. Research suggests that up to 80% of laughter isn’t caused by humour at all, it’s down to mood, and tense, nervous, happy or excited feelings all cause outbursts.
The science of laughter (beware, not all that funny…)
Most scientific research suggests that we catch laughter from each other because our brains are programmed to join in. Laughter is an instinctive behaviour, it’s in our genes.
Despite all the research, mankind is still at a very early stage of understanding the science behind laughter, there is still mystery attached to the true source and logic behind all the mirth. The US scientist, Igor Krishtafovich, however, has come up with a formula for would-be comedians to find out whether a joke is funny or not:
HE = PI x C/T + BM
HE – (humour effectiveness) equals PI – (personal involvement) multiplied by C – (complexity of a joke) and T – (time spent by a person solving a joke) plus BM – (background mood).
When not to laugh
Here’s one good reason to know when to stop laughing. The Greek philosopher Chrysippus allegedly died of laughter watching his donkey attempt to eat some figs after he gave it wine. Not recommended.
Did you know…?
The funny bone is not a bone, it’s a nerve.
People who study laughter are known as Gelotologists.
People smile only 35% as much as they think they do.
In order to interpret your raw percentages, they were compared to the first 350,000 people to complete the full MyPersonality Big Five questionnaire. This allows the way that you described yourself to be put in the context of how other people respond to the questionnaire. You should remember that there are no fundamentally good or bad personalities, as each trait description has potential advantages and disadvantages. To help you reflect on these, you have also been given some questions which ask you to consider the implications of your trait descriptions. Other people viewing your personality profile will not be able to see these. Openness
This trait refers to the extent to which you prefer novelty versus convention. Approximately 91.9% of respondents have a lower openness raw percentage than yours. From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is far more intellectually curious and sensitive to beauty than most. You might say that your beliefs are individualistic and frequently drift towards the unconventional, and that you enjoy your imagination and the exciting places it takes you!
Reflective question: What place do you think that tradition has in society (if any)? Conscientiousness
This trait refers to the extent to which you prefer an organised, or a flexible, approach in life. Approximately 16% of respondents have a lower conscientiousness raw percentage than yours. From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is impulsive and whimsical, and fine with it! From your responses it appears that you would say that sometimes decisions need to be made quickly, and that you make them quicker than most! You would say you are zany, colourful, and just generally great fun to be with... as long as someone isn't relying on you to get some work done.
Reflective question: How do you feel when you are working with someone who is very organised?
Extraversion
This trait refers to the extent to which you enjoy company, and seek excitement and stimulation. Approximately 97.7% of respondents have a lower extraversion raw percentage than yours. From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is constantly energetic, exuberant and active. Your answers describe you as someone who aims to be the centre of attention at social occasions, asserts yourself when in groups, and usually says, "Yes!"
Reflective question: Do you prefer to be busy all the time? Why?
Agreeableness
This trait refers to the way you express your opinions and manage relationships. Approximately 24.2% of respondents have a lower agreeableness raw percentage than yours. From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who people can find difficult to get along with when you first meet, as you can be suspicious of their motives. Your responses suggest that over time though people warm to you, and you to them, although that doesn't stop you telling them "how it is".
Reflective question: When others are experiencing problems, what do you do?
Neuroticism (Emotional stability)
This trait refers to the way you cope with, and respond to, life's demands. Approximately 30.8% of respondents have a lower neuroticism raw percentage than yours. From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is calm and emotionally stable. Based on your responses, you come across as someone who is rarely bothered by things, and when they do get you down the feeling does not persist for very long.
Reflective question: When do your emotions (or lack of emotions) get in the way of good decision making?
Research has found that the Big Five personality traits are significantly related to Jungian Typology (e.g. the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). This is a popular alternative personality framework regularly used for personal development, in which Types are used rather than Traits. Based on your Big Five trait scores, your estimated Type is shown below (if you have already taken a Jungian Typology test and got a different result, this can be changed from the More Options section). ENFP Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving
ENFPs are initiators of change, keenly perceptive of possibilities. They energize and stimulate others through their contagious enthusiasm. They prefer the start-up phase of a project or relationship, and are tireless in the pursuit of new-found interests. ENFPs are able to anticipate the needs of others and to offer them needed help and appreciation. They bring zest, joy, liveliness, and a zany sense of fun to all aspects of their lives. They are at their best in situations that are fluid and changing, and that allow them to express their creativity and use their charisma. They tend to idealize people, and can be disappointed when reality fails to fulfill their expectations. They are easily frustrated if a project requires a great deal of follow-up or attention to detail.
Men In Ten!
Men In Ten Minutes! [Tried and tested.] His Favorite Sport Solo sportsmen, like runners and swimmers, 1 savor their independence and relish spending a lot of time alone," says relationship-skills coach Steve Nakamoto, author of "Men Are Like Fish: What Every Woman Needs to Know About Catching a Man." Men who are fans of mainstream team sports, like football, basketball, and baseball, 2 tend to be competitive -- on the field and in all aspects of their life -- and they like to hang with their entourage. As for the guy who's just not into sports at all, 3 "he's an independent thinker usually on the sensitive side.
How Long He's Been Hanging With His Friends
A guy who has been friends with the same posse since he was 10 years old can certainly claim 4 loyalty as one of his strong suits. But "you better like what you see, because he's probably not great with change," says dating coach Liz H. Kelly, author of "Smart Man Hunting." "And be patient, because it will take a while for you to win his trust." If your date has buddies from all areas of his life -- i.e., college, the gym, work -- don't be afraid to drag him to your cousin's wedding. 5 "He has no problem schmoozing strangers and adapts to new situations easily."
Credit vs. Cash
A guy who likes to flash his plastic 6 craves status. "He may be ambitious and confident. He'll reach his financial goals," says Rob Ronin, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist and registered financial consultant. "If he always pays in cash, 7 he's self-sufficient and independent," which might make him a difficult dude to corner. And if his wallet is dry? 8 Here's a guy who's dependent on others to take care of him.
His Bad Habits
Gambling men 9 are risk-takers, which can make them a lot of fun. "But their over-the-top optimism that they'll come out ahead makes it difficult for them to face reality," says Mitchell Parks, MD, assistant professor of psychiatry at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville. "Hard-core smokers 10 tend to be anxious," says Dr. Parks, so it can be hard to pin them down for couple-time. And if he's a boozer, 11 he could be hiding his insecurity behind his buzz.
His Communication Style
When your date opts to email you -- rather than call -- 12 he could be a hard nut to crack. "The fact that he chooses a communication method that allows him to edit what he says signals that he might not want to show his true self," says Jeff Bryson, PhD, professor of psychology at San Diego State University. An IM addict 13 craves your nonstop attention and needs that instant assurance that you're there for him. And the phone fan? 14 He might be a little old-fashioned and likes to do things by the book. But, according to Bryson, "he's not afraid of intimacy." The Clothes You Wear That He Prefers
If your fave T-shirt and jeans or a cute little sundress do more for him than your slinky black number, 15 you're dating an earthy, laid-back guy who likes equally laid-back, low-maintenance chicks. A man who's wowed by a woman who likes to get dolled up in high-end designer duds 16 places a high priority on prestige. "He'll probably make a lot of money, but it also might play too important a role in his life," says Los Angeles clinical psychologist Nancy Irwin, PsyD. And a guy who wants a Carmen Electra-sensual girl on his arm 17 is looking for an ego boost. "He places a lot of value on being admired and envied." How He Deals With Traffic
If he constantly weaves in and out of cars, tailgates slowpokes, and glares at other drivers, 18 "it's pretty clear that he has a problem with aggression," says Leon James, PhD, professor of psychology at the University of Hawaii and author of "Road Rage and Aggressive Driving." While a forceful personality might take him far in the workplace, it could be difficult to deal with this argumentative guy in a relationship. If he's able to exude Zen-like calm when stuck in gridlock, 19 "he's likely to have more self-control."
What He Orders in a Restaurant
A meat-and-potatoes-type guy 20 is usually steady and dependable, says image coach Dianne Daniels, author of "Polish and Presence: 31 Days to a New Image." "But he's also a little unadventurous." If your date goes for exotic dishes, 21 "you're with someone who makes spontaneity a priority and could easily get bored with the status quo."
Neat Freak or Messy Man
A guy who puts his dirty socks in the hamper is one thing; a guy who color-codes them in his drawer is something else. 22 "This man is way too fastidious to have fun," explains Daniels, "and he'll expect you to be just as neat." A mildly messy man 23 is looser and more open-minded. But if the inside of his shower has never seen a scrub brush, 24 he may be immature or just plain lazy.
Favorite TV Shows
Take note if he parks himself in front of one sitcom after another. 25 "Here's a guy who uses humor to defuse stress," says TV producer Hedda Muskat, author of "Dating Confidential: A Single's Guide to a Fun, Flirtatious and Possibly Meaningful Social Life." This can be a good thing, because he won't hold a grudge against you or lose his cool. But it also might be hard to get into a serious conversation with him, which can be frustrating. "The more you try to discuss something important, the more evasive he will become," says Muskat. A couch sleuth who's fascinated by CSI-type shows, on the other hand, 26 is analytical and thoughtful. "He prides himself on his problem-solving abilities and will be there for you when you need support," says Muskat.
His Birth Order
"The oldest child 27 is usually a responsible, take-charge kind of guy," says Nancy Fagan, author of "Desirable Men." If your babe is the baby of his brood, 28 "he's likely to be creative and a little rebellious." As for a middle man: 29 "He's a sensitive soul who needs loads of attention." How He Approaches PDAs
When you're out in public and he's all over you like a rash, 30 "he's either trying to show you off or marking his territory, both of which are signs of insecurity," says Nakamoto. A guy who's allergic to body contact in public is 31 unsure about his feelings for you or your feelings for him. "PDAs are statements of togetherness," says Nakamoto. "If he has doubts, he'll keep his distance physically." Whether He Always Drives or Wants You To
"A guy who doesn't automatically assume driving rights 32 is likely to let you steer the relationship at least some of the time," says Kelly. A man who hogs the wheel -- even in your car -- 33 is sweetly old-fashioned at best and, at worst, could be a control freak. The Guy's Grooming MO
A guy who checks out his reflection in every store window you pass is obviously vain. But, interestingly, 34 it's also a sign of a dude who's intent on succeeding. "Presentation is everything to this kind of man," says Sheenah Hankin, PhD, author of "Complete Confidence." "He sees it as a measure of his self-respect and success." 35 The low-key, less conceited guy might be less ambitious, "but he's easier to connect with emotionally because he's not as superficial," says Hankin. "What counts on the inside matters more to him."
If He Looks You in the Eye
"A man who doesn't make eye contact during conversation 36 may not be trustworthy," says speech coach Diane DiResta, author of "Knockout Presentations." "Meanwhile, if his eyes bore into yours as he's talking, 37 he might be trying to intimidate you." But a smoldering gaze -- you know what that looks like -- 38 means he's immensely fond of you.
His Speaking Style
If your man moves his mouth a mile a minute, 39 you're with a spontaneous, high-energy guy who may be a little too self-absorbed. "Fast talkers get so wrapped up in making a good impression that they don't pay attention to their audience," says DiResta. Slow talkers 40 typically play it safe. "The way they deliberate every word before it comes out of their mouth is indicative of how they approach life: They look before they leap." So although you shouldn't expect a lot of surprises, at least you'll know he means what he says. Things You'll Only Learn With Time
How loyal he'll be: Wait and see if you're shown the same allegiance as his buds are.
If he's a man of his word: Will he really keep those promises he made to you early on?
His little quirks: Time reveals the small details that really make a person tick.
If his parents' split haunts him: His broken home may have issued him some big-time emotional baggage.
Women on the other hand, cannot be understood in a lifetime.

Hello everyone! Should have posted yesterday but it was pretty busy and i only got home around 12 am so i was way too tired to rattle. So right now i'm pretty comfortable, sitting down with my standard Vanilla Frap and birthday cake, cosy and ready to blog. Sounds like i'm settling down to write a book. I've been having a rough couple of days. Actually it's the way i've been feeling. Hormone problems i tell you. Anyway, yesterday started out pretty bad with m yelling at him and crying and all. Drama i tell you. And all that, for no reason at all! Just moody. So he suggested we go meet this lady about spaniel pups for sale. So we went. All the way from Toa Payoh to Ghim Moh to the lady's house. Along the way, Murale and i started to guess what kind of person she might be. I guessed a middle aged lady living with her husband and dogs. Did i mention, her name's Ragini! Haha. She seemed like a really nice person from her text messages so we figured maybe she's a mature older person. Haha. Murale thought she might be a spinster living with her dogs! The journey was LONG but good. And finally we ended up at this roadside aka Ghim Moh interchange, right infront of the rubbish chute area. There were decaying items ranging from fish to brown vegetables as well as brown substance. I should have taken a picture of Murale's face! It was priceless! We had to walk through a couple of blocks to find block 5. The place is really old but charming at the same time. Not to mention, Ulu Pandan Community Centre is HUGE! Seriously seriously big! Like some commercial building. Back to the blocks. Everyone knows i SUCK at walking through blocks to my destination. 2 years in Innova and i only found my way through by myself in March of my second year. BUT, my sense of direction is good. Maybe not with buses, but with walking routes(: Anyway, we finally found block five and walked up to the second floor. The houses were pretty small. The kind where young couples or old people live. We found the house really easily and the moment we arrived at the gate, there was a happy little puppy jumping up at the gate! Adorable really. The mother followed behind. Not too friendly but that's understandable. I mean, would you welcome the person who might be buying your kid? I tried to look at it from that point of view. It's hard to imagine and sometimes you start to wonder is parent dogs do in fact feel heartbroken when their puppies are taken away. I mean the puppies will of course cry for a week or so but once they stop and start getting adapted to their families, do they ever think back at their parents? Quiet interesting right. If you were adopted and you knew, i'm sure the thought will always be inside somewhere. Maybe that's why they're called animals? Still find it hard to say they don't have feelings. I've seen a lot of animals cry! Time to engage an animal behaviour expert to explain things to me. So after the warm welcome with the dogs, i met their owner Ragini. Nothing CLOSE to what we thought. She was young, pretty, humble and obviously very in love with her dogs. She asked me if i was indian and then if i was a north indian. Reasonable questions and definately not the first time I've been asked. That's mainly because my name is north indian. I could have been just another Priya or Geetha or something but no, i had to be named after an actress. Haha. I've never had issues with my name though. I let people call me whatever they want. Rags, Rag, Rajini, Raagheenee, Ginny, Regina etc. My singtel account is registered under Ragina Anpazhahan. Way to go biggest service provider in Singapore. So She started explaining about the puppies and their diets and their temperment etc. While she was getting her camera to show me pictures of the father dog, I had the opportunity to look around her house. It was full of things. There was barely space to move but cosy nonetheless. The i saw something very farmilar. A very old fashioned blue handbag. In an instant i knew that this Ragini, worked with SIA! Haha! I know it's not something to get excited about but HEY, it's not everyday that someone who's crazy about getting this job gets to meet someone who's in it! Her stuff was strewn all over the floor. She was packing for an 8 day trip to Europe. She's living the dream. Sometime last week, i was looking through Latha(IJC pioneer batch)'s profile on Facebook and i learnt that she was in STC and will commence her flying with SIA in February. She's going to start living that dream too. I'm going to go. I will. I'll try at least. After i recover from my operation, i'm going to head for an interview. Hopefully, I'll be able to live the dream too. So after the afternoon meeting with her, i was in much better spirits. Got some sleep and then started out for Araathana's birthday party. I wore the Zara top Murale got me for the first time. As expected, it got it's credits for being absolutely simple, elegant and plain pretty. Had several conversations going on that night. One about animals, one about Obama, one about education and one about clubbing. It's difficult to be in just one when everyone's asking for you at the same time. To talk to i mean. Seems like everyone had something to ask my sister and me. We're not great or anything but there's a clear cut difference to the way we were brought up as compared to our cousins. My siblings and I for one, will never talk back to our father. And i suspect we will always fear him(in a respectful way). Hell, I'm 20 and i still don't say anything against him out of fear. So there everyone was, sucking up to him. My mum couldn't be bothered as usual. She was mixing with people she felt were more worth her time. There's still one thing i have issues with. I still hate it when they say we look nice. I mean not my aunts but my cousins. I'm just being selective. It's not even my cousins actually. Just this one aunt and her family. I believe they are insincere in everything they do or say. I for one, always catch them looking at my family in a very jealous/unhappy kinda way. I was actually talking to one of the daughters and all she was looking at were my clothes, my face and my hair. And when i caught her looking, she said my top was pretty. Sure. Vithya's dad taught me to say thank you to people when they say i look nice. But i simply couldn't bring myself to do it there because i believe they're the kind who don't want my family to be the way we are. Another reason being, they really don't like my mum. Because she studied at the age of 40 and is practically the only successful mid career switch acts they have seen. Plus she doesn't look her age. Reeks of jealousy to me. They mentioned i should become a stewardess. I had to shut up. The last thing i want is for them to talk about that too. My dad was talking about my sister's grades etc and that vicious look was on her face again! Should really ask my dad to stop discussing our life at social gatherings. Not the best of ideas. Other than that, nothing interesting happened. Eswary and Vikram are getting married in July! Kaanthan's going for his operation next week and he won't be able to walk for 6 months. We all probably won't meet until the wedding anyway. Today was just about lazing around. Feeding the pets and giving King a shower. Went for a ride with the family in the evening. The whole family including King! He was overjoyed about sticking his head out the window and letting his tongue and ears fly in the wind. Heh. Was supposed to go over to Revethi's place but didn't have the time. Very odd day actually. Alright guys. I'm done with my cake. My Frap's gone too. I'll blog tomorrow. Time to convince Revethi to blog more as well. I have tuition tomorrow. And then a date at Starbucks in T2((: Hope the two day break helped all you stressed out people to catch up. Have a blissful week ahead. LoveLots, Ragini(:
HelloStevie!
Saturday, January 24, 2009
HELLO! I know we haven't posted for like the LONGEST TIME EVER, but thank you for reading our outdated blog anyway. Lol. So reason we haven't been putting stuff up? Revethi and me have been hunting for a puppy for the last one week or so. Revethi, almost gave up. But i didn't! So i was browsing through the classifieds this morning and went directly to 74 to look for a puppy that was suitable for Revethi's budget and guess what i found, PUPPIES GOING FOR $88! So i called her up and we made emergency plans to head down to desert-like Pasir Ris Farmway 2/3. The last time Murale and i went there, it was way too hot for us to keep walking all the way in. This time, Revv and i had to because Pet Movers was right inside! Once we got there, we started looking around for her preference breeds. After less than 10 mins, she found the perfect pup. A 6 month old wonder we named Stevie. He's a Pom and he's SO FREAKING ADORABLE! Haha! So now she's a dog owner too. Dogs change people. Actually, it's not only dogs. Every pet does. The notion of loving and caring for something totally depend on you usually makes one a better person. It's a common fact and i even yahoo-ed it before typing this post out. So if anyone needs proof, they should go and search themselves because i obviously can't put the search results here, that dog owners and pet owners in general are better people than those who don't have pets. Better people in a sense that they are usually more "well nurtured and easy-going" as compared to people who don't have pets. Famous people? Paris Hilton may be the subject of hate amongst many but has you actually see her throw her phone at someone like Naomi Campbell despite being twice as rich and twice as spoilt? It's not a very good example, but it works because it's a simple way to put it. Like i said, Yahoo, Google, MSN or Alta Vista it and you're still going to get facts thrown at you if you choose to argue with what's up here. Then again, there will always be people looking for something to point out as inaccurate. I'd like to see you set up a blog about animals. I actually think i know a fair bit or rather A LOT about animals be in wild or pets as compared to most people out there so no point arguing. So i'm going to end this post here mainly because my environment is not giving me good vibes and i feel really emotionally constricted.
Welcome to the family Stevie!
LoveLots, Ragini(:

Hello everyone!
Dad just got home from Thailand and he's staying!
He got us lotsa stuff and even stuff for our friends. The biggest surprise was probably, the books he got us. Mai's is called "14000 things to be happy about" and the moment i flipped through it, one reason stuck out at my face. Feeling witty confident and devastatingly feminine. So this books really cool. Mine's called "100 simple reasons why dogs make us happy. My mum's the "Rule of Love". So other than that, he got us pretty skirts and half a dozen blouses and much more. Plus, he managed to get me something i've been dying to have. Yves Saint Laurent(pronounced eve's sen laron)'s Elle Fragrance. It's the most divine smell on a woman seriously! So i've gone from Barbie perfume as a girl, to Adidas fragrances in secondary school and then Ralph Lauren in my 17,18 and 19 years and then now, YSL! Oh the scents of growing up. So after the airport, we got home and had dinner together on the floor. Don't be like WHAT?? yet people. Yes we still eat on the floor depite an oak dining table sitting in the middle of the house. My dad feels that we ought to remember our roots. Hardly anyone sits on the floor anymore! Our plates are all steel ones and once a week we eat on banana leaves. So we're old fashioned but hey, no complaints here cause somehow we thinks its a norm. I mean indians are known to sit on the floor and have thier food served on banana leaves with their hands as their eating device right? So yeah, modern and traditional at the same time. It's not only my family actually. Most of our relatives and friends alike have similar habits. I've seen indian people and indian functions or restaurants, struggling to use the fork and spoon to eat. I don't see why these people, clearly much older than us, feel shy to use their hands in a place like Gayathri's Restaurant when youngsters like us don't mind. Tsk Tsk.
So after dinner we all settled down to talk and eat the Pomelo my dad brought from Kanchanaburi. I hope we get to go back to that spa resort again. Seriously amazing place. I guess that's about it everyone. Oh and Thank You Shanthini for that lovely mention in your blog. People who like Britney like her for the sole reason that they can relate to her in at least one way and at anytime. And i've seen a lot of people laugh at me for liking britney 10Years on but these are also the people who have Womanizer and Oops secretly in their playlists. I'm still bubblegum pop lovin it after all these years! So anyway Shanthini, your spirit is contageous. Spread it! Hah!
By The Way Revethi came over to do some online puppy hunting with King to keep her company cause i was spring cleaning. I hope she'll find the perfect puppy soon. Hopefully her sister and father agree to it because i don't think anyone realises how much she wants this puppy. So with that, i'll write again tomorrow. For everyone who's following the blog, thank you for supporting us. Keep showing your support cause that way we'll get sponsors! Haha! Goodnight everyone!

He swears that i'm the only girl who goes to farms and nature reserves as part of my ideal day. Not only him. But i'm glad he's a nature lover too unlike most other indian fellas. I think i'm going to go on a little holiday off the coast a while. Just to relax in a more natural environment. New things added to the list include going to OBS and signing up for an independent camp! Gaya wants to go as well so maybe i won't be all alone. Congratulations Vee on getting your wish of being able to perform in SYF. Trust me it'll be an honour, as long as the dance doesn't end up like the Nepalese one. Heh. I miss dancing so much. Maybe it's time to pay Jeanz a visit. Or maybe DXO? Oh wait, I'm volunteering at CityAlive! So, I'll sweat it out there. Haha! Last's year's was called CityJam and it was HOT! I mean i made you friends for example Philip who loved dancing with me and refused to believe i was a club-virgin aka i've never been clubbing before. So yeah the whole night it was just Saba, Philip, Madhan, a very upset best friend and me dancing away with 2000 other people(mostly europeans) outside the old supreme court building! Here's the thing, as volunteers, we got free alcohol and i didn't drink(to the dismay of some). I mean all he wanted to do was drink and all i wanted to do was dance and he didn't want to dance with me because he wasn't as outgoing. Tamilan thing, they don't like dancing with non-tamilans due to the fear of being out-danced. The first meeting for the volunteers is coming up. Okay i wouldn't call it volunteering. We're getting paid to party and get the party-goers drunk as hell. Haha. Some how, they think we're capable of doing things like that hence our hefty pay check. So here i am, jobless, un-bored, awaiting the results and somehow earning money that i kinda don't need for now. I touched a Starfish at one of the biggest aquatic life warehouses today! It wasn't as pretty as i expected it to be. It definately wasn't nice to touch! There were seashorses, practically every fish featured in Finding Nemo was there! Half the fishes in the Dentist's tank were from the Indian Ocean while the other half were from the Pacific and you know why? Because Australia is bordered by both! So at a point off the Australian shores, you could step into the sea and declare that you are in two different Oceanic waters! So if you do go to Aussie(which you should),head to either Darwin or Melbourne check the seas out for yourself! You'll find A LOT of Jellyfish but hey! who knows, you might find a very pretty Starfish and of course, an incredible experience. Right after we went to Ericsson's Pet Farm. Only been here a few times though. The last time was to bring my Husky for a play run. I miss her! She was so big and strong and not to mention pristine looking with her snow white fur. Her name's Sesi which means snow in Eskimo and she's way bigger, way stronger and more divine looking than ever now. The Huskies there were ADORABLE! No doubt highly intelligent just like all dogs. Did you know that a dog's tongue is cleaner than a human's? Or that Border Collies have intelligence levels that exceed that of men? Or that Huskies don't bond to people? And that most Singaporeans keep Malteses? Haha! Apparently long-haired Chihuahuas are IN this season. I honestly think it's because of that stupid Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie. Wearing shoes for dogs is consider TORTURE people! Just like how our skin breathes, the only exposed skin on their body is are available on their paws. So by covering their paw, you're not giving their skin the moisture and oxygen it needs! So yeah, there Chihuahuas are so DAMN cute! Haha since Revethi is considering toy dog breeds, she should consider them because they snuggle up to you! And they fit in your palm! I know a lot of you hate cats but i adore both dogs and cats although more of the former than the latter. This kitten was patting me in the cheek instead of me doing it to her. She's apparently a Chinchilla, a kind of cat breed. Really pretty and of course, automatically attracted to my earrings. The entire 2 hours we spent there consisted of checking out Maltese and Yorkshire prices. That's all most farms there had actually. Malteses, Terriers and Chihuahuas. The owner told us that people want these dogs because they're easy to keep as compared to other dogs. I was planning on getting another Cavaliar but the guy told me their breeder in Australia needs 3 months more. The price? The usual 3.5K per pup. No surprise since both Cavaliars cost us 3.7 and 3.4k respectively while Sesi was 4K! The money was well spent because i can't imagine how life would have been for us if it weren't for our dogs. From Sesi ripping up the Sofa and breaking the fan to King(i) cuddling up with us to King(ii) begging for us to pat him. Lol. I hope Revethi's pet-to-be will bring her family much joy and laughter just like how my dogs did for my family. So with that, i think i'll end my post for tonight. Animal lovers, consider joining the WWF okay. You can do your part to keeep the world running as planned by God. Good Night everyone! LoveLots, Ragini(:

Ugly Betty made me cry. Everything i watch makes me cry. Haha. I'll blog in the morning everyone. Time for me to go and take a nice cold shower and get to bed. By the way, Vithya's story was moving wasn't it? She proved herself to be the A grade literature student like always. Goodnight! LoveLots, Ragini(:

So my plan to head to town to look for the ultimate pretty planner failed. Miserably. I felt so miserable by the end of Plaza Singapura that i bought myself a few Vanilla Frap[s]. It's a serious addiction i tell you. After a while i forget the actual taste but i still crave for it! How weird is that? By the way, it's really an awesome beverage. Shoot yourself for not wanting to try it. Anyway i can only see today as a very mixed one. Sure it was all bright and sunny but it pains to see someone you love suffer by herself. Today she told me that she had no one left for her. And i told her, we may not be physically present but we're always there with you. Just like how you were there with us whenever we needed you. Especially me. I have you to thank for keeping me in high spirits. I know the people in her life are just out to kill her spirit(which mind you, is very hearty), but as long as she has us around, we won't let the little flame go off. And then, people start wondering, are we a form of influence? Bad influence? Of course not! If we didn't keep up her high spirits, you wouldn't be taking credit for her academic excellence last year. Sure there's love. But there's a right way of showing it. What is it with people and showing love in a disastrous way? Yes it is disastrous because you're not sending your message out clearly. It's not even coming out as a message. Teenagers see messages at vulgarities. It's up to you to decide which is the right way. Parents who give thier children reasonable liberty are the ones who will not regret it in time to come. But looks like this set don't care much about all that. She reminds me of Britney, who is currently in jail at home. Jamie has taken over her life. Oh there's another jailbird here too. Thulasi has been stuck at home under the orders of her boyfriend who's in camp. As much as i love her, i can't stand her submissive nature. I hope this year is good to two both of my girls. I know it will be. So, my planner is not coming anytime soon. Murale thinks it's rediculous that i want a planner because i have an iPhone which is supposed to be everything. I prefer being old-fasjioned Mr Naidu. Stop acting smart. You can have the phone to help you with your local tour dates etc. Had a nice long chat with Shanthini. I missed that kind of chatting. It doesn't come so easily with other people and it's somewhere special. She added me on msn WAYY before i entered Innova. Definately meant to be! Sure there's been some bad blood and yes i've bitched about her for no reason. Not only her but her friends too. Totally uncalled for since the reason why we stopped talking was due to gross miscommunication. Nonetheless, she's been good to me and now, i'm being good to her simple because she deserves it. I just like her. She's got a girl's school thing in her and i have no idea why she isn't from one. I know it maysound elitist but admit it, life is generally more glamorous and easy-going when you're from an independent single sex school. Which is why when i ended up in Innova, actually having to walk from the MRT station to school. i considered it the end of a comfortable life. Lol. What about all you little girls' school girls agree with me? Don't you realise how the school treats you like gold? It's just not in your nature to sit under a block and rot? You don't dream of anything less than JC because practically everyone from your school ends up in one? Coming from a now autonomous girls' school, i can tell you that life is anything but painful compared to the outside world. And do i even have to start on the attitude? Some of us may seem very nice but i swear there is a bitch in every girls' school girl. Every single one. The bitchy part may stay hidden for a really long time, but it will come out eventually. Like Revethi today. Like Hell-o Anitha and i are from Cedar so purleeese step away from me. Hah! She didn't say that, but she put it across to the person in a 'slap in the face' kinda way. WAY TO GO REV! Okay i know i know i sound elitist but let's admit it, girls from girls' school tend to be the centre of attraction everywhere! People pay more attention to us when we'r in uniform and we're so loud with our presence that everyone's so drawn. Okay enough of the girls' school power thing. Anyway Shanthini should have been in one. At least that way she would have realised that guys are the grime in the picture. Heh. So everyone, that concludes my very elitist streak today. Lol. I just felt the sudden urge to write about how good it feels to be from s recognised instituition. Enjoy your weekend guys! It only comes by once everyweek. Good Night! LoveLots, Ragini(:

Olá! Haha, so i decided to try my hand at another language. Anyway, i updated you guys about the housework thing just now so other than that i don't really have much to say except for, I NEED TO GO GET A PRETTY PLANNER! There are so many things coming up that i can't remember! From the CityAlive meetings to the events to the Tea at the Istana and the CNY dinner! ): Plus tuition, meetings, dental appointments and the little meetings with the girls! I'm very busy for someone who doesn't have a job! Haha. Oh i want to use the planner to write my music tabs as well. Plus, the minister is making his rounds tomorrow. Hopefully no one throws thinner at him. I don't understand how people have the guts to do that in Singapore. I mean, it's Singapore! Freedom of speech is, I think i'm saying too much. You do all know that they're watching us right? Kinda reminds me of the Eyes in The Handmaid's Tale. You know, they're watching your every move. Or 1984 with "Big brother is watching you". Who knew classic literature could be so close to real life. Let's not talk about Romeo and Juliet. By the way did you know that they were barely 18? Raging hormones i tell you. Haha. Exciting much. So hopefully, i'll be able to get my contacts(my spectacles are killing me) and then my planner from Borders or Tree. Borders planners are pretty but Tree's ones are artsy. Murale got me the little pink notebook from Tree! (: So a lot of things seem to be coming up. Sharanya has a funfair she wants us to buy tickets for. Sounds like some Valentine's day fun! Cafe Domus i-scream buffet awaits! The girls are planning a meeting tomorrow night for coffee and small talk. Small talk. I like small talk. Especially with people who know how to enjoy life. Those who genuinely know how to laugh out loud and really mean it. No dry humour. Au Naturel. People who care about how you look because they want you to ooze with confidence for your own sake. Maybe you know where i'm heading with this? Anyway Vee seems to be having a hard time at school. Dear, i hope you know that it's a very good thing those people don't talk to you. You have SO many things to do this year and all they're planning to do is bring you down. So please, ignore those who come in your way and keep striding to your success. Econs will kill you faster if you don't do more starting now. Trust me, it killed me. You know how i struggled with it. Don't let it happen to you. Revv, i'm so happy Athena and Achilles make you so happy. Looks like they did what we expected them to when we got them for you. Keep you company! (: The weekend beckons. I hope you all chillout and relax a while before going crazy with your homework and schoolwork and studying and all those other things Singaporean kids are forced to do. As for me, I have discovered Cafe Domus which, is about to become my new chic hangout with whoever who wishes to have a blast. Haha. Plus i can't wait to try their I-Scream and Absolut Yakult! Good night everyone! LoveLots, Ragini(:
StayHomeTeenager!
Yesterday, was the first time i yelled at Narein during tuition. I think i could have been too nice because he was getting more forgetful. It was hard not to yell at him because, at that precise moment, EVERYONE in the house started yelling. Why? Because Gaya's older brother, lost his towel. I admit it was pretty hilarious to hear people yelling at each other over a missing towel. Her brother started accusing the maids they house, of stealing the towels. Gaya's mum kept insisting it was the wind (which was the truth btw, have you noticed how freaking strong the winds are these days?!). Followed by more yelling. And then Gaya was yelling at everyone to shut up. So yeah. That was tuition yesterday.
Today. I've had such a housework-day that my hands are sore. I did everything today! Sweep, mop, take King for a walk, do stuff for my mum, cook for King, clean the altar and water the plants! And then i realised that my maid never did her job. She did everything halfway and some of my mum's precious plants are dead! Now i think i have a new obsession with gardening! Since i have so much of free time, i've decided to get more plants for my mum's mini garden! Plus the Balcony could use some pretty flowers to drown the cityscape, which i personally hate. I should really find another place for my O/A level box as well. It's so heavy i can't lift it. PLUS, it reminds me of all the times i was cooped up in there studying and studying. I have a bubble in my eye due to the excessive amount of time i've spent with my contacts on. I would have gone to the SPCA with Revethi if i didn't feel so uncomfortable with my glasses on. So i missed my chance of seeing a Dalmatian. Vik asked me to help him get some quotations and although i really wish i could help but i can't. My head is killing me. I still haven't gotten around planning a trip to Cafe Domus which i must. SOMEONE GET ME A PRETTY PLANNER PLEASE! I'm going off not. Need to go collect food from my Grandma's place. BYE! LoveLots, Ragini(:
MAMBO GOT ADOPTED!! WHEE~ hope that his eyes are only filled with happiness from now on(: cheering on Petra now!(: xoxo revethi
heya everyone. i got 4 hamsters yest when i was over at ragi's. 2 winter whites and 2 winter white/sapphire mix dwarves. i decided to give the winter whites to shermaine cuz i think it's a bit difficult taking care of 6 hammies and my sis will freak. but i cam back home and i was playing with the ww/s hammies and it felt weird. i mean seriously weird. they didn run away after sniffing me. they willingly came onto my palms. they didn watch my every movement with caution. they didn get all stiff when i blow on them. and that's when i realised i love my robos. i know i complain that i cant bond with them and that they are so scared of humans. but they are not all that all the time. they actually listen to me when i talk to them. especially when i'm not feeling too good they never fail to cheer me up. just watching them lifts my spirits. there was once i was feeling really bad and i was just talking to them about it. i was crying as well. and Achilles came up to the side of the cage and just stared at me. i gave him my finger and he didn nibble as he usually does. he sniffed and licked my finger a bit. then he sat back down and looked up at me as if telling me that things will get better. maybe i'm too dramatic but i cant tell u how much that meant to me. i might not have bonded with my robos but i'm certainly attached to them. and i know i could easily bond with the ww/s hamsters. i'm afraid i might neglect my robos after that. i really don't wanna love the ww/s hamsters at the expense of my robos. that is why i decided to give them to shermaine as well. she loves hamsters and she was really psyched to get them all. i'm sure she will take care of them really well. i'm not sure if i'm being paranoid or plain stupid but whatever. i'm more than content with Athena and Achilles(: and i would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ragini, Vanitha and Vithya for bringing such joy to my life. haha. sry for the drama lol. i'm going to get ready to meet shermaine then i might go to the SPCA. wanna see the dalmation. be good and love ur pets if u have any till the end of time. because to them u r everything. xoxo revethi

Hello from us both! (:
WalkHome.
Hello everyone. Some of you may find this shocking but i just got home from Temasek Poly. And no i didn't go there for whatever you think i did. I went to meet Shan and his Anti-ICG clan. Lol. I didn't realise how much i missed him until i saw him walking down from the bridge. Our hug was pretty long and warmer than usual. Some background information. Shan's a boy i met when i was in St Marg's and he was in SJI. He's a year younger and a lifetime wiser than me. Generally everyone's wiser than myself but he's different. He's always been there for me. Never once did he let me down. We've got this thing, where we know when either one of us is not okay. We'll call each other up just to see if that hunch was accurate which most of the time, was the case. I listen to everything he says to me and i'll do anything he asks me to. Simply because, everytime i take his advice and do as he asks me to, i become better and somewhat, stonger. The only time i decided not to listen to him and give in to my temptations, i screwed EVERYTHING up. Even then, he was willing to help me clear up my mess. I see him as a brother. I've never seen anyone as a brother other than my real one. But Shan can't be classified as a friend. I've never had the trouble of him bitching behind my back and vice versa WHICH IS some very extraordinary coming from me. Just like how i see my girls as my sisters. So after watching him dance and having all his friends tease me about their school's ICG president and after sufferring the embarrassment(didn't really mind that) of them calling me Arun's ex(never was never will be) we decided to leave. Believe it or not, we undertook this journey. We walked home from TP. All the way. We walked and talked and now, my legs feel non-existent. I was so hungry halfway that he thought i was going to faint and suggested carrying me. Of course i wouldn't let him do something like that and make him suffer! Lol. We talked about a lot of things. I feel so free and happy now. He's a walking reminder to me that no matter how much we all change, there'll always be that memory of the whole group of us, Arch, Reka, Gaya, Arun, Naven, Shan, Murale and I, hanging out after school, talking, playing, laughing and occassionally studying. All the concerts we went for at SJI and StMarg's and even TP and PJC. The birthdays we celebrated and the late night cycling to really far off places. I can assure you, our memories of those days will always, always be with us. It serves as a reminder to us that things may change but we'll always be that little gang from TPY Macs. We'll always have each others' backs. Always. On that note, I'm going off to watch Gossip Girl and then straight to bed. Long day tomorrow. Pongal plus i have to clean up the house and take king for a walk and then meet Prema and go and teach Narein after that. Remember to reflect on your friendships and your early teenage years. We're all growing up so fast that we often forget that these memories keep us forever young at heart. Botox will take care of the rest. Happy Pongal and good night! LoveLots, Ragini(:

RoaringToGo.
Okay so i'm back. Revethi was very straight forward for once. I think it's been bugging her. Anyway that's the past. Yesterday's history, Tomorrow's a mystery And Today's a gift hence the word present. So let's embrace every minute and forget everything else. Anyway while Revethi's busy SPCA-ing. I've decided to volunteer at the zoo again. The last time i did was six years ago and it was really memorable. Maybe even NightSafari this time. Alright everyone, i'm going off to Tampines now. I'm trying to find a picture of my husky Sesi to put up but i just can't seem to. Maybe later! Going to get ready so see you readers around later! LoveLots, Ragini(:
wellowello! u know, i may not be the nicest person or the kind of person everyone is dying to have as friend.. but there are some lines i would never cross and some things i would never say to a stranger let alone a best friend. i would never force anyone to do anything. i would never threaten anyone. i would never publicly slam anyone on the net. i would never call anyone a whore. seriously. i mean wth? and yes, i am referring to a particular person here. but i'm not saying his/her name. not because i'm afraid or whatever nonsense. but because, believe it or not, i once considered u a very good friend and i still respect u for that. if ur reading this, u should know who u r. no matter how angry or frustrated u might have been, you shouldn have said those things. hope u agree. cuz if u dont, i've got nth much to say to u. anw on a lighter and much brighter note, i'm starting my first official duty as a volunteer this friday!! ok it's not confirmed yet. i'm waiting for the head volunteer's reply but come on! i replied a mere 3 hours after her email(: hehe. i'm bored. like very. seriously. i'm going off now. take care and be good. xoxo revethi
GoingGaga.
Hello hello! So there was a little tussle again last night. But what's life without some pain right. Heh. Anyways Revethi didn't turn up today and i'm going to follow my mum to KKH. So that plan's out. I'm still meeting Shan though. At 5 to be exact at his school. My first thoughts about going there again : damn. After some time i realised, hey i really don't feel as bad as i though i'd feel. Underestimated myself. Anyway i've decided to meet up with Revethi and make some important decisions about our blog like for example, password protecting the entries so that whoever wants to read what we have to say, would have to ask her permission and the password. Of course people we're linked to get auto access! The idea is that we finally end up with non-judgemental people viewing our blog. Strangers are welcome because you're generally alright and even if you have anything to say, it's easy to tell you off. With people we know, there're decisions we have to make. Should we say this or that? We can't have that happening because that'd mean we're just bluffing ourselves. So with all due respect, stop reading this blog if you cannot accept anything you see on it. Just so all of you know, we don't delete our posts. We just don't show them. This is a diary remember? You don't just tear pages out of it and pretend nothing ever happened. It did. And so it's there. Sadly for you readers, you can't see our previous posts. That's how we protect ourselves. We have to, since some of you are bent on killing our spirit. If this post had names in it, i'd be bugged to take it down. Bugged is an understatement because the things people say can get pretty out of hand some times. But then again, that's just who they are and i respect that they can only be themselves. So, for everyone who's got personal issues with either one of us, Fuck In Hell. The devil will wane to your wants but we won't. Oh in the case of the boy, I know he pretended but i'll stick to my reason for pushing the picture to privacy, I don't want to incur hate when it circulates. Because at least now i know, that it's out of my hands if anyone gets hold of the picture. I'm going off now and i'll definately be back. This time, with a password protected, all-telling blog. Have a nice Tuesday afternoon ahead everyone! LoveLots, Ragini
Mita got adopted! congratulations girl. hope ur new family gives u all the love and support that u deserve(:

Ragini(:
BlankPage.
Hey guys, I'm too tired to blog about anything. Today was good. Not absolutely good, though it could have been but just fine. I still want to take Mambo, Mita and Pedra home. I don't really have much to say for today actually. Had a lot of fun with Revv. Then enjoyed teaching Narein. Met Arch and had a blast then too. And Macs of course. What would i do without him. Haha! Don't think i forgot/ignored the tensions on the site today. I didn't. I just didn't want to bring it up because i don't see a need to bring up insignificant matters again and again. The underlying reason for all this tension is just misunderstandings over what we believe in and how far we're allowed to put a person until they finally decide enough is enough. For example with Sharvish, he sounded so bad over the phone that i felt guilty about the whole thing. Don't get me wrong but i decided to take the post down because i didn't want anyone else to get hold of the picture. That'd put me a situation where i'll blame myself for the circulation. Can't let that happen can we? I see no reason for a tussle here. I tell it like it is. That's all. That's what blogs are for. If you think i'm bad, you haven't seen the things Xiaxue, Aarthi, Perez and PinkIsTheNewBlog put on their blogs. The thing is, they're all so big now that everyone's afraid to comment despite their personal disagreements. Another thing, these bloggers don't care. They don't care that people have feelings. They say what they feel. And frankly that's what a blog is for. If i'm discreet everyone will start to feel insecure. If i'm open everyone gets mad. Life's a general tussle. Lol. Alright everyone, i'm turning in early today. Have good Tuesday ahead both at school and at work. LoveLots, Ragini(:
