Just finished watching Miss World 2008 live and Miss Russia won. I was kinda expecting that actually. The woman defines stunning. Really pretty, really sweet and amazing body! Her eyes were probably her best feature during the pageant. Moving away from that topic, the day was just about shopping and preparing for the wedding. Of course there was also something that just added on to it. I attempted to heal a broken relationship and it just took it's first successful step. We only live once. Life's too precious to lose things that were once very precious to you. Things like that, usually remain just as precious till the day you die. I should be sleeping right now especially since the wedding's at 9 am and we need lotsa time to get ready. Talking to Arch online. She's still reeling from the shock of her twin sister winning the title 30mins ago. HOW DRAMA RIGHT? Tsktsk. We're planning to rent a car for Tuesday's adventur
e because my car's a continental and my mum certainly doesn't trust me when it comes to taking her 90k Lilac Opel out for a spin. The case closed the moment i said ''spin''.

Spoke to Gaya a while today. Just catching up on stuff. We're planning to go check out the kickboxing school at Farrer Park tommorrow afternoon though i have a feeling we might end up walking very far away and chatting endlessly about life and its perils. Lol. I have so many things going on suddenly! My license, my ballet classes, working out and next kickboxing! All part of my very futile attempts to make myself feel useful. I'm secretly applying for a bike license as well. Haha. My mum's not letting me but hey, what can she do after i've got one? Lol. Trouble magnet.

I'm going to go away and sulk now. Well, not really. I'll go away and watch a nice movie and drink my hot chocolate. Yes, this is my current life of luxury. Okay since Miss World 2008 was crowned a while ago, i'm gonna put up some trivia about the pageant alright? I have a thing for pretty people and pretty people events naturally draw me. The Miss World pageant is the oldest and longest running pageant in the world so it deserves the credit it's getting right now!
- The winner of the first Miss World contest was Sweden's Kerstin Hakansson, who was chosen from 26 contestants and received a cheque for £1,000 and a pearl necklace along with the Miss World title. Kerstin was the first and the last winner to wear a bikini.
- In 1967, Misses Finland, Denmark, Italy, Lebanon and New Zealand were advised to take bed rest for health reasons. However, all of them appeared in the line-up on stage.
- The shortest reign as Miss World was that of 18-year-old Gabriella Brum of West Germany. She was crowned the thirtieth Miss World in 1980 but resigned just after 18 hours.
- Eleven Miss World finalists have been Bond Girls. To assist James Bond, casting directors across the world have looked at the Miss World alumni.
- Three countries have successfully held the Miss World title for consecutive years: Sweden in 1951 and 1952 United Kingdom in 1964 and 1965 India in 1999 and 2000.
- Elizabeth Chovinsky, the fourth runner-up in Miss World 1953, was the only citizen of Monaco ever to make it to the finalists' line up in a major international beauty pageant.
- Lynda Carter, USA, did not go beyond the semi finals in 1972. However, thanks to a popular television series of the same name, she became more popular than the winner Belinda Roma Green of Australia.
- Since its beginning in 1951, the Miss World pageant has registered more than 3,500 national winners and currently receives approximate 1 million entries per year across the world. It is the most coveted title in global beauty pageants.
- Aishwarya Rai, the second Miss World from India, held the title in 1994. That same year, another Indian, Sushmita Sen, was Miss Universe.
